Our Sound
Chi-Rhythm Radio celebrates the sounds that move Chicago — and the music that brings people together.
Our programming is rooted in the depth and diversity of Chicago’s musical culture, from the smooth grooves of Chicago Steppin’ and Walkin’ to timeless R&B and Soul, Classic Motown, Jazz, Old School Hip Hop, and more. As Chi-Rhythm Radio continues to grow, our sound will expand to include even more of the music connected to Chicago’s rich musical traditions, including House and Gospel.
Throughout our programming, we also make space for Chicago artists and the music that has shaped the city’s cultural legacy and influenced audiences far beyond it.
Whether you’ve been connected to these sounds for decades or are discovering them for the first time, Chi-Rhythm Radio keeps Chicago’s musical legacy playing, evolving, and reaching new listeners.
