Chi-Rhythm Radio Inspires Young Voices Through Media & Storytelling

In August, Chi-Rhythm Radio hosted two youth workshops reaching more than 20 young people through music, media, storytelling, and hands-on learning.

Leading up to the workshops, members of the Chi-Rhythm Radio team completed Safe Sanctuary Training as part of our preparation for working with youth.

During the workshops, participants had the opportunity to explore radio and media in a fun, interactive environment. Young people stepped behind the microphone, learned about DJ equipment, practiced using their voices, and explored storytelling and creative expression.

The experience was an exciting step forward for Chi-Rhythm Radio's growing youth programming and our vision of creating meaningful opportunities for young people throughout the Chicagoland community.
